A balança comercial brasileira registrou um superávit de US$ 1 199 bilhão em fevereiro, de acordo com dados divulgados hoje pelo Ministério do Desenvolvimento, Indústria e Comércio Exterior (MDIC). No mês, as exportações somaram US$ 16,733 bilhões, com média diária de US$ 836,7 milhões, enquanto as importações chegaram a US$ 15,534 bilhões, com média de US$ 776 7 milhões. Em fevereiro de 2010, a balança havia registrado superávit de US$ 389 milhões.

Assim como em janeiro, o ritmo de crescimento das exportações voltou a superar o das importações no mês passado, invertendo a tendência verificada em todo o ano de 2010. Em relação à média diária de embarques de fevereiro do ano passado, houve crescimento de 23,5%. Ante janeiro deste ano, houve aumento de 15,5%. Nas importações, o valor foi 18,4% superior à média registrada em fevereiro de 2010 e 10,3% superior ao apurado em janeiro.

Com o primeiro resultado semanal deficitário em fevereiro, o resultado fechado do mês ficou abaixo do piso de US$ 1,3 bilhão previsto em coleta feita junto a 17 analistas pelo AE Projeções.

Na quarta semana de fevereiro, a balança comercial brasileira teve déficit de US$ 399 milhões. Entre os dias 21 e 27, as exportações totalizaram US$ 3,704 bilhões e as importações, US$ 4,103 bilhões. Na quinta semana (dia 28), houve superávit de US$ 41 milhões, com US$ 730 milhões em vendas e US$ 689 milhões em compras do exterior.

Acumulado do ano

A balança comercial brasileira acumula um superávit de US$ 1,622 bilhão em 2011, até fevereiro, de acordo com os dados do MDIC. No mesmo período do ano passado, a balança registrou saldo positivo de US$ 210 milhões. A corrente de comércio (soma das exportações e das importações) chegou a US$ 62,272 bilhões, superando em 33,1% o total de US$ 46,794 bilhões apurado em igual período de 2010.

Nos dois primeiros meses de 2011, as exportações totalizaram US$ 31,947 bilhões, com média diária de US$ 779,2 milhões, o equivalente a um crescimento de 26% ante a média de US$ 618,5 milhões registrada no mesmo período de 2010. Neste ano, as importações já chegam a US$ 30,325 bilhões, com média diária de US$ 739,6 milhões, valor 20,7% superior à média de US$ 612,9 milhões registrada em igual período do ano passado.

The Brazilian trade balance registered a surplus of U.S. $ 1,199 billion in February, according to data released today by the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC).
